Using the Old Fashioned to Build Six Pack Abs

Developing your Abs can be one of the most challenging parts of bodybuilding.
As science and technology progress it is becoming apparent that there may be ways to develop muscle without the hard work the old school bodybuilders had to do but it is because of the breakthrough that they made that all these different regimes are available to the common man now. A man or woman can today develop muscle without the great effort of the old days. There are so many different ways to do it. Concentrating on the abs is probably the most worked group of muscles these days because everyone wants to have a six pack.
I am going to try to concentrate on one particular way to develop your abs but I will look at different opinions on the subject. Using a medicine ball is a good way to do exercises to develop the stomach muscles. You can get medicine balls at different weights. Make sure you get one that is the right weight for you.
So you take your medicine ball which we have already agreed has to be the right weight for you to do the exercises without straining you back or hurting yourself.
A good start would be 30reps in a set of 4=120. I should think that most young men wanting to do this exercise would be able to do this without straining themselves but if it is too much reduce the reps by 5 or 10 until you feel comfortable.
Lie on your back holding the medicine ball between your knees bend your hips and knees lift your feet off the ground rest your hands lightly on your chest. Take a deep breath and exhale as you lift your shoulder bringing your knees towards your chest take the ball from between your knees and bring it to your chest inhaling at the same time. Return your shoulders and legs to the starting position. Return the ball on the next rep, keep changing the ball position for the whole set. There are so many variations to the exercise that you could make it more challenging by changing the way you do the exercise as some of the ways are harder than others. Increase the reps as you become more confident with the exercise. After a few weeks of doing this you are sure to see some results.
Here is another simple way of developing the Obliques and believe me when I say you will see results. It's a little old fashioned and low tech but it works. This is a little exercise you do in the house if you are just too busy to get to the gym. Take 2 kilo bags of sugar, hold one in each hand, stand straight feet together. Lower your right shoulder so that your right hand with the bag of sugar touches your right knee, bring yourself back to a standing straight position and do the same thing on your left side.
